Well I'm just about recovered from a night spent in pyjamas & dressing gown glued to David Dimbleby, Jeremy Paxton et al.

What does the result tell us? Well, maybe that we are a more polarised society than ever before with ever bigger regional & local differences.

England has voted overwhemingly for a Conservative government but in Scotland there was a swing away from them and towards Labour.

Not surprisingly the further you get from London & the engine of economic activity the less keen the electorate are on plans to reduce state spending.

It seems tragic that large parts of the country have hardly any private employment left- the option is either to work for the state or Tesco or live on benefits. Truly enough to make you weep.

It's impossible to believe that someone in Scotland, Newcastle or Liverpool is less able to make a success of running their own venture than someone who lives elsewhere & yet that seems to be the case.

As Frank Field said quoting Gladstone(& got sacked for it) 'Any fool can give money to the poor- it's whether it gives them freedom that's important'.

Social mobility is decreasing in this country and that's very worrying for us all.

At long last it seems as if spring is here & temperatures are increasing. So, time for my soft, cosy comfy flannel pyjamas to be put away & time for something lighter.

As you might imagine loving beautiful nightwear means that I don't sleep in a T shirt but have a large wardrobe of different pieces, short nightdresses, long nightdresses, shortie pajamas, long pyjamas all in different fabrics & weight.

Whatever the temperature I've got something that will give me a good night's sleep & that I'll enjoy wearing- which is what it's all about after all!
